EDTC 803 Data Analysis and Report Writing

This course will focus on the content and the mechanics of effective data analysis and report writing. Candidates will analyze textual and graphical data from many sources, process data in ways that readers can understand, and generate comprehensive academic and business.

EDTC 806 Research Methods in Educational Technology Leadership

With the program's emphasis on the scholarship of teaching and innovative learning experiences, this course is an in-depth treatment of the research process and techniques for planning and designing research projects. Emphasis will be placed on the appropriate choice of methodologies for a variety of problem situations.

EDTC 809 Assessment and Evaluation

An introduction to systematic inquiry using assessment methods to understand, evaluate and solve user and organizational needs. Candidates will integrate their knowledge of research methods with real-world challenges of conducting and analyzing research in educational and corporate settings.
This observational exercise required a one hour observation of a public place. This observation was conducted in a coffee shop during the COVID-19 pandemic. An analysis was conducted about the common themes from the observation.
This proposal is for an explanatory sequential mixed methods study is to understand how teacher beliefs are impacted by professional development programs that focus on culturally responsive pedagogy and educational technology.
This qualitative, grounded theory study was to explain how professional development plans about technology integration include principles of culturally responsive and sustaining education. It uses a combination of semi-structured interviews and focus groups and classroom observations using the CRIOB Tool.
This study explained the rationale for an explanatory sequential mixed methods study focusing on how teacher beliefs are impacted by professional development programs that focus on culturally responsive pedagogy and educational technology. The IRB application is included.
EDTC 810 Statistics for Education Research
Candidates will develop competence in applying, synthesizing, and evaluating statistics from sources including dissertation, journals, technical reports, and Web sites. With an emphasis on the scholarship of teaching, candidates will move from basic to context-driven statistics, applying the fundamental concepts and procedures of descriptive and inferential statistics to real-world applications.
This paper examined five methods sections for peer-reviewed research about the use of technology in student centered classrooms. The methodologies were quantitative and mixed methods and the analysis focused on the similarities and differences in sample size, population, instrument, and data analysis technique.
This paper proposed a sequential mixed methods study exploring the beliefs and practices of teachers who participated in training that focused on culturally responsive pedagogy and technology integration. The proposal includes a review of the relevant literature, the research questions, and the overall methodology for the study.
This paper re-examined the five peer-reviewed studies from Assignment 1 about the use of technology in student centered classrooms. The data analysis strategies of these quantitative and mixed methods studies were examined, as well as how the findings connected back to the initial research questions of the studies.
This presentation reviewed the contents of the research proposal in a PowerPoint format, including the research problem, significance of the problem, research questions, existing research, population and sample, methodology, and data collection and data analysis procedures.
